E1 – Portable Water Treatments System

The EnsureLife™ portable water treatment system comgines a number of simple and highly sophisticated technologies that remove impurities and contaminants more effectively than most conventional filters and components that energize the water to provide sparkling clear, great-tasting and safe water. One of the foundations of good health is a daily intake of clen living water, and getting clean and safe drinking water can have a major impact on us, our family and our community.

Stage 1 – Pre-Filtration

Pre-filter screens are incorporated with the inlet hose screening the source water at the point of entry, essential in preventing the system from becoming plugged with rocks, mud, feces and other large debris.

Stage 2 – Sediment Filtration

5.0 Micron Sediment Filtration prevents large debris and suspended solids you can’t even see, from entering the system and helps prolong the life of your carbon filter and UV light bulb.

Stage 3 – Carbon Block Filtration

0.5 Micron Chemical Filtration cleans 99.9% of all water contaminants. All water then passes through activated carbon or charcoal black which has a slight electro-positive charge added to it, making an even more attractive bonding agent to chemicals and impurities. When water is forced through the solid carbon block, it is forced to slow down and increase the amount of contact time with the carbon, allowing the carbon bonding to take place and remove impurities and straining out particulate.

Stage 4 – Ultra-Violet Light Purification

Chlorination of municipal water is not sufficient to kill cysts, viruses and many other harmful bacteria, and most are too small to be trapped by most filters. Many communities and private homes draw water from lakes, streams, reservoirs, or wells that are open to pollution from natural, agricultural and industrial sources. All water treated by the EnsureLife™ passes through a quartz crystal cased ultraviolet lamp that creates light at 254NM wavelength; this wavelength penetrates and damages the DNA of the micro-organisms preventing replication and renders 99.9999% of all bacteria, viruses, moulds, algae, and yeast such as: harmful bacteria (e-Coli), virus and parsitic cysts (cryptosporidium and giardia-lambia  or “beaver fever”)… inactive! The UV unit does not add any chemicals or by-products to the water. The UV unit uses 25 to 65 watts of power, the same as a light bulb. It plugs into a wall outlet. The lamp is rated for 1 year of continuous use.

Caution

Do not use the E1 if the small indicator light located near the control switch is OFF. Light out indicates UV light may not be operating and the water is not treated correctly. Replace the indicator bulb and/or replace the UV light immediately according to the instructions.
